Accommodation    
                           
All visitors are housed in barrack style accommodation. Each room is furnished with bunk beds fitted with foam mattresses, and the room has adequate space for personal belongings.  The maximum number that can be accommodated at are sixty-seven (67) people, including teachers and parents.                            





Kitchen Facilities

T
he Centre’s kitchen/food preparation area is equipped with food storage cupboards, microwave oven, large commercial refrigerator and chest freezer.  Cooking utensils provided at the Centre are adequate for most menus.  The galley is also equipped with a gas stove/oven and four-burner gas barbecue.
 



Dining/ Activities Building

This building provides an all-weather eating and indoor activities venue.  It is equipped with enough furniture to seat 60 people and has excellent ventilation, lighting and heating.  A serving bench separates the galley and dining/assembly room.  This arrangement allows for easy serving of food and supervision of the class.
 


Ablution Block

Septic toilets, hot and cold showers, and bathroom facilities for disabled persons are all included within the facilities.  The block is centrally situated and also provides an external washing up area for eating utensils.


Library and Resource Room

The library and resource rooms are multipurpose learning areas that may be used by students during free time for enrichment experiences and as venues for excursion activities.  Various permanent displays are designed to assist the students in identification of plants and animals and to generate interest.  An extensive supply of books are available for use by students and teachers whilst at the Centre.   





 

Centre Grounds

The Centre grounds have been landscaped to create a pleasant living environment and a place of learning and discovery.  The garden areas and plant nursery offer the students an opportunity to develop an interest in plants.  Animal feeding areas provide a venue for students to observe birds and animals at close range.  An area for field games and sports has been established and equipment is available.
 



 

Plant Nursery

A
ll students who visit the Centre will receive a free tree to take home.  The purpose of the nursery is to supply these trees to the students and to allow reforestation to occur around the Centre grounds.   Students may also have the opportunity to participate in nursery-based activities, learning about seed collection and plant propagation.



T
elephone Facilities

Unfortunately, the Centre is not located in mobile network coverage.  However, adult visitors are welcome to use the phone in the library, at timed rates.
